David Thorson

As part of CVG’s leadership team, David guides financial decisions and helps strategically plan for our company's future. With over 30 years working in finance, operations, marketing, and sales, his experience includes start-ups, small and mid-sized businesses, mergers and acquisitions, raising capital, and corporate strategy. He has held key roles at Ford Motor Company, Hewlett Packard, USO, and has taught finance at the University of Phoenix. He serves on the corporate boards of Trustar Corporation and Nevada Trust Company. 

David is actively involved in his community. He is a Past President of the Las Vegas Rotary Club and serves as a Trustee of the Las Vegas Rotary Foundation. He was President of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Thunderbird Alumni Association for seven years, and served on the Board of Verde Valley School in Sedona, AZ. He volunteers for the Air Combat Command Commander’s Group for the US Air Force and was an Assistant Coach for the USA Water Polo Mountain Zone Olympic Development Program. He plays water polo competitively and enjoys skiing and traveling internationally.

He earned his MBA in Barcelona, Spain, where he completed the curriculum in Spanish, holds a Master of International Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Economics. David is based in Las Vegas, NV.
